By now, you've probably heard about the record sale of a piece of Kailua Beachfront real estate... a house and guest cottage on the beach for $24 million... or was it $26, million? Whatever it was, it was one heck of a price any way you look at it!
What seems to be even more newsy is the buyers reported to be (not disclosed by the realtor, mind you!) none other than Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz. Oh well, there goes the neighborhood.
On a more important note, HALALU ARE RUNNING! Word is that these wonderful fish of summer are back in storm at Waimea Bay and Haleiwa Harbor (this being the word I got and have yet to verify) and also in a small school here in Kailua Beach!

So far it looks to be a pretty decent year... could it be attributed in some way to Shirley Black Gerum's great article in this August's Honolulu Magazine, "Born to Run"? Do read the article, you'll enjoy it as I certainly did!
But most important, get out and do some fishing. So lucky we live Hawaii, yeah?
